InDesign Class Activity

Today in class we utilized Adobe InDesign to lay out our two page spread. We learned the basics of this software like the selection tool and text tool . I was comfortable with this as I have used other Adobe programs like Photoshop and Illustrator and they are somewhat similar. I will be using InDesign for my revisions for 3rd quarter as it makes it more professional looking.

My Target Audience

For my magazine 'Bake by The Book', the target audience is mainly middle class women, 35-55 years of age. Since it is a local magazine, the readers will primarily be located in the Sarasota area. Also, mostly stay at home moms who or women who enjoy trying new recipes. This product is appealing to this particular audience because our target audience has little to no professional cooking/baking experience and this magazine contains recipes and new foods to try, explained in a simple manner that is easy for anyone to follow.

Feedback and Revisions

Based on the feed back I received from presenting my midterm submission, I have a few minor revisions to make to my magazine before my final submission to AICE. I plan to use InDesign to recreate my pages, add and change page numbers, add more text to the article, add contact information, and a few other minor changes. These changes will improve my product by creating a more clean and professional look to my magazine. I will carry out these changes by using InDesign.
