The Food network magazine is the second largest monthly magazine available in the US today, reaching out to over 12 million readers. Similar to my magazine, their target audience is middle aged women with little professional cooking experience. A popular form of distribution for Food Network is through their app. Using an app allows for easy access for readers to view the magazine at almost anytime. Additionally, an app is an environmentally friendly option compared to a 100+ page magazine. To incorporate this distribution method for my product, I can create a user-friendly app that is easy to operate.

Traditional Distribution

Over time, the distribution process of magazines has changed from going door to door, to in stores and even digital. There are many ways of distributing magazines to your target audience. This is a competitive way to allow the reader to compare my magazine to others. Overall this is a effective way to increase sales.

Because of the similarity of my social media posts and the content of my magazine, those who enjoy our social media may consider subscribing to our magazine. Another way to appeal to our target audience is creating an app. This app would have recipes and articles that are featured in our magazine or similar to the content. Nowadays, almost everyone always has their phone on them. Because of this, apps are much more convenient w...
