How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this project?   To take  all  the images in my magazine I used my Nikon  d5200  camera. For the  the   close-up   images ,   I used a   m acro  lens . This created a bo keh  effect,   ma king  the  background  blurry and made the  main subject  sharp .  To edit my  photos,  I used lightroom and photoshop. I  adjusted  the exposure, contrast,  saturation,  shadows  and other settings  to give them a natural lighting  look . How did your production skills develop throughout this project?   I think this project helped me develop a further  interest  in photography and editing.  Before this project I  was familiar  with  photoshop and  knew the basics of the  camera  I owned.  I learned how to use  InDesign , which  improved the  aesthetic  of my project ove rall.   

How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?   During my audience engagement  research  and  distribution  research ,  I  noticed  many popular marketing outlets. One commonly used for cooking and food  magazines  is an app. An app allows for subscribers to easily  access  articles and  recipes   on their phone. It also creates a name for the brand, reaching out beyond just magazines.  Both my magazine and the magazines I  researched  have very similar target audiences, catering to married middle age women in the middle to upper class, who enjoy cooking. I followed several conventions when creating my magazine. For example, I stuck with  a color scheme  throughout  the articles and cover/table of contents. I used a pink theme, and similar colors that complimented it such as  oranges and browns.  Another  traditional  convention  followed  was my font choice. I used ‘ Raleway ’ in bold, thin and italic throughout the en tire magazine, using bold for titles regular for body text. I used a larger size font for titles and a smaller size for subtitles under images, as well as b ody text.  For my cover page I used a large font that takes up about a fourth of the page, which is a conventional method.  Additionally , for the subheadings that display some of the articles in the magazine, a conventional method  was used . B y  making the number 10 in ‘10 kitchen hacks’ larger  in front  and a different color,  it  grabs the  reader's  attention.  T...
